What made me cloth diaper?
I never thought I would use cloth diapers, until after my first son was born. He had horrible rashes all the time, and leaked out of every diaper in existence. After a talk with my husband I started searching for the best cloth diaper to fit our son, our life style, and our budget. After trying about 20 different kinds I realized that I could make my own and custom make them for my little guy and his needs. The result is HootHootBaby Cloth Diapers. He has now moved on to potty training which is why I started making HootHootBaby Training Pants.
I have now cloth diapered 2 children, and (mostly) potty trained 1. My oldest from about 6 months. My youngest wore his first cloth diaper in the hospital (That's him above. Hours after his birth 8lbs, 14oz, in an HHB newborn). I can honestly say I love it. I love the cute prints, the fluffy bums, and the interesting conversations that cloth diapers have brought into my life. If you ever have any questions please contact me (hoothootbaby@gmail.com). I am happy to talk to you about cloth diapers and cloth training pants anytime.
HootHootBaby Cloth Diapers and Training Pants are made from cotton knit or t-shirt/sweatshirt outers, organic heavy bamboo fleece hidden layers, and organic cotton or non-organic cotton velour on the inside against the babies skin. They are handmade by me at my home in Eudora, KS.
How HootHootBaby got it's name
Growing up I spent a lot of time at my paternal grandmother's house. Being a kid with nothing better to do I noticed that she had an owl in every room of her house, and I asked her once why. She told me that they watched over her and kept her safe. That ingrained a life long love of owls in me, and now my boys have an owl in their rooms to watch over them. When thinking up names for my business owls of course came to mind, and after some discussion HootHootBaby was born.
Afterall, shouldn't every little one be watched over?
